I am clear on need, then, to create portable and then open again.
Not yet clear on 'condense ' / 'clean company data'.

Using what I am trying to work with as an example - I deleted 2008 AP transactions for bill payments, bills, item receipts, vendor credits, credit card credits, checks, and Purchase orders. On the AR side, there were only a couple of deposits for the year.

So...do I need to run 'condense' as well? If so, do I want to run it for transactions before 12/31/2008?

Seems counter-intuitive, since I already went thru deleter and picked those off or does this do something else?

I would try just doing the portable company files first to see if this reduces your QB file size enough.

Where do Statement Charges and Time Tracking entries fit in the proper order to delete transactions?

Make sure you delete statement charges before you delete receive payments.

If time tracking activities are used on invoices, delete the invoices first then the time tracking activities.
